Understanding Your Microsoft Dynamics GP Options
As with all other legacy ERP solutions, Microsoft has sunset support for older versions to shift resources to newer platforms. In accordance with Microsoft’s Modern Lifecycle Policy, GP solutions with a fixed life cycle receive five years of mainstream support and five years of extended support. At the end of the extended support period, each version of GP will officially be sunset. Although support for GP 18.2 and future versions will continue until at least 2028, if you’re not currently on the latest version of GP, you may be missing out on important security updates and functionality.
